Hello and welcome back...

I would like to reintroduce myself to everyone and it’s been going on two years since I wrote on the blog. As you all know, my name is Larry N Young and I have been working to become a professional writer for some time now. My work is now been published thought high voltage comics that I has started and I hope to have more books out soon. Like I said at the begin of my first blog, this site will serve as a portfolio of my life's work. It is also a showcase for my upcoming projects so I will be updating on a regular basic. Please join! Another week has come and gone...

Well the basement is now cleaned out and it only took 4 days to do it. Well as I said last week, I was going to post some art work to books that are being published through High Voltage Comics. Here are the covers to Shadow Rider book 2 that I printed and it it's now over at Ka-Blam, just in case someone wanted to pick one up. Next week I'll be showcasing a lot more other books I'm working on.

Not a good day so far.

Last night we had a very bad rain storm and today was going to be a family fun day and we were going to go out to Portland and make it a special day. But I woke up to fine the basement flooded with water and I thought I would drop a quick note before I continue cleaning up the basement and next week I'll have a few pages to show you all.

Back on track once again.

Once again I'm going to start updating my weekly log entry every Saturday and I want to go back to posting on a regular schedule. It's been way too long since I write in my Blog and a lot has happened in these past months. So this is what’s been happening in my life at this moment in time. I’m been out of a job since May 4th 2009and I’m busy looking for a job as well as working on a few projects as well a spent time with the family.

Shadow Rider 2 is back from the printer and Shadow Rider book 3 is back from the artist and soon it will be heading over to the colorist.

Angelica the Demon Huntress book 2 is going to also be heading off to the colorist as well and hopefully I'll should have Shadow Rider book 3 and Angelica the Demon Huntress book 2 out to the printer before December.

I’m still working with an artist a graphic novel on Red Arrow Mystic Warrior and if everything goes right, it should be out this summer and I’m also working with another artist on another graphic novel that’s called The Chronicles of Fusion City and hopefully it should be out a little while after the first graphic novel comes out and I'll have a few pages to both of them next week.

Back on track again.

I'm going to start updating my weekly log entry every Saturday again and I want to go back to posting on a regular schedule. It's been seven months since I write in my Blog and it's seven month too long and a lot has happened in these past seven months. 1: The mini poster for Shadow Rider and Angelica the demon huntress has been printed up and they both are over at indyplanet. 2: Shadow Rider book two has come back from the artist and all it needs is to be colored and lettered. 3: Angelica the demon huntress book two is off to the colorist and after that, the lettering will need to be done. 4: I have an artist working on a graphic novel called Red Arrow Mystic Warrior. It’s based on a short story by Ron Fortier. The story is about an evil demon trying to break free from it's imprisonment to unleash evil into the current world and only an Ancient warriors with some campers can stop this from happening. The artist has e-mailed me some character sketches and they all look great and by the end of this month, he'll be e-mailing me 10 finished pages. He'll be working on 10 pages a month till the graphic novel is finished. I'll be showing the character sketches and pages very soon, so please keep and eye out for that. I'm also working on a Shadow Rider book three and Angelica the demon huntress book three as well as a few other books and graphic novels and I'll be keeping you posted on them as well. So come back next week I should be posting a few pages from Shadow Rider book two.

Friday I placed an order to have a mini poster for Shadow Rider print a over at Ka-Blam. The size of the mini poster will be 11X17 and I hope to have this back around the same time as Angelica The Demon Huntress comic and poster.

Waiting on a printing job...

I'm still in the middle of printing up Angelica The Demon Huntress over at Ka-Blam. I had a small problem with a few of the pages and now they are all fixed and the book is ready to print. If everything goes right, I'll have Angelica The Demon Huntress up at IndyPlanet very soon and a few copies to sell as well.

Yesterday I placed an order to have a mini poster for Angelica The Demon Huntress print a over at Ka-Blam. The size of the mimi poster will be 11X17.

Yesterday I went down to Staples and had business card made up and I think they came out very good.

Killing 2 birds with one stone...

Hey first off, I'm not going to really kill any Birds off (That would be sick and it wouldn't be right to hurt any kind of animals.) Now for some good news, well after almost 3 years in the making,(That's from early script to finished pages) here's the Angelica The Demon Huntress proof copy . It's finally back from the printer and does it looks sweet. I should be getting a lot of them back from the printers no later then October and ready for the comic cons around New England. So please keep an eye out for them . I think it will be worth the wait.

My first comic con

I went to my first comic con in Chelmsford Mass on August 3rd with my good friend Ron Fortier and we had a good time. I shared a table with Ron and I had a chances to sell a few books and talk to some people while I was down there.

I have some good new to report. I'm in the middle of printing up a sample book to Angelica The Demon Huntress over at Ka-Blam, they are the same printer who did Shadow Rider and Legends of the Spellbinders. If everything goes right, I'll have Angelica up at IndyPlanet very soon. So please cross you fingers and wish me luck.

Free comic book day and May day in Kennebunk Me

Yesterday was Free comic book day. The family and I headed over to Rochester, NH to Jetpack Comics to pick up our free books. While we were there, we then went over to the Rochester opera house to see a few people dressed up as Star wars characters. There was Jabba the Hutt, Boba Fett, two stormtroopers as well as two people dressed up as Jedi Knights. We went back to Jetpack Comics and I had a moment to talk with my good friend Ron Fortier before heading back to Kennebunk Me. At the Kennebunk Library, they had a Faerie House Exhibition and my daughter, Annakah, made a Faerie house. Her house was a beach theme with a playground. Each child recieved a certificate for entering and each got a blue ribbon for something unique about their faerie house. Annakah got a blue ribbon for "BEST MOONBEAMS".

New layout and a cover to Shadow Rider book two...

I was getting tired of the old layout to High Voltage Comics and I thought it was time for a changes. Here's the cover to Shadow Rider book two, please let me know what you think of it and I hope to have the rest of the pages done by this summer. The art was done by Pow Rodrix, the Color was done by Nephtali Andres Leal Garza and the logo was done by Blake Wilkie.

More page to the Shadow Rider has come in...

Another week has come and gone and I received more page to the new Shadow Rider book. These are a few new pages from the upcoming 8 page story to Shadow Rider called "The Unluckiest man alive" The pencil pages are from Pow Rodrix.

Here's a new colored page that was done and by Pow Rodrix and the coloring was done by Nephtali Andres Leal Garza.

Shadow Rider riders on...

Well I'm halfway over a bad cold I've been having and now I can get back to doing the things that need to be done. I receive a few more pencil pages from Pow Rodrix and they all look good so far and the rest of the pages should be coming in soon and I'll post them for you to see.

Back on track

I can now move on with bring Shadow Rider and Legends of the Spellbinders to comic book stores as well as going to any upcoming conventions.

The evolution of a comic book publisher Logo...

Yesterday I received a quick cover sketch and a quick comic book page from an artist who's working on the upcoming 8 page back up story to Shadow Rider that called "The Unluckiest man alive" and I'll share the pages later on with they are done. I'm almost finished writing the script to the second book to Shadow Rider called "Doomsday plus one" and I hope to have this book out before the end of summer.

I thought it would be cool to show the evolution of a comic book publisher Logo. I worked on the first design and Blake Wilkie who worked on the finished design and I would love to know what you think of it.

The books are in...

Both books are in and I can't wait to take them around to comic book stores and to comic book conventions. I think that Ka-Blam did a great job on printing them up and I can't wait for everyone to take a look at them. Here's more good news to share with you, I'm just found an artist to work on an 8 page back up story to Shadow Rider that will be called "The Unluckiest man alive" and I'll share more information about that later on. I'm also still in the middle of writting book two to Shadow Rider. The second book will be called "Doomsday plus one" and it will shed some light into Shadow Rider past and why he became a bounty hunter.

High Voltage a go...

The Internet was up and down for 13 very long days this month. When it was working, it was slower than dial up. I'm still waiting for my first major order from Ka-Blam so I can start to sell them at comic book stores and at conventions when they come to my area.
